George Zanic has been the Huntingdon County District Attorney since January, 2008. As District Attorney Mr. Zanic is the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for the county and is responsible for representing the Commonwealth in all adult and juvenile prosecutions.

The District Attorney's Office works directly with local, state and federal law enforcement to investigate and prosecute criminal activity.

The District Attorney's powers and responsibilities are set forth in the County Code, the Crimes Code, miscellaneous criminal statutes and the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure.

In addition, the District Attorney's office coordinates the Huntingdon County Drug Task Force, The Huntingdon County DUI Task Force as well as the Elder Abuse Task Force.
